When I first started my career right out of college as a Social Media Manager, I would manage and create content for all of Sun Broadcast Group’s social media platforms. This would include company news announcements, Interview Recaps with the CEO at the time, create artwork for Radio programming show such as DJ Sinister & The Sam Alex Show, and logo designs for company events.

During my time at I Heart Mac & Cheese Corporate as a Social Media Manager/Graphic Designer I spent time creating social media artwork, and motion graphics for grand openings, marketing board animations to be pushed nationwide. Not to mention collaborating on kiosk artwork with my good friend Matt Pappas.

psycho tHRILLER
GONE GRAPHIC.

Across the country all the way from Compton, California. I was approached by the frontman of a new hardcore band that was in the process of forming. They were in need of a new logo to capture the essence of the band’s name FAIRVALE, Which if you didn’t know like myself, is the setting of Alfred Hitchcock’s American psychological thriller, Psycho.

So as you can probably already tell, I took inspiration from the famous Norman Bates close up “She Wouldn’t Hurt a Fly” scene, as well as the kitchen knife used in the shower scene. The word FAIRVALE itself highlights slash marks coming downwards as it was made apparent in the shower scene.

However it goes without saying, working with FAIRVALE on this logo project was nothing short of a great time. The band was super cool, personable and were super diligent when sharing their thoughts on logo elements.

This was such an awesome project to work on and after regular contact with them, I can proudly say that I look forward to working with them again in the near future!

Gloria’s Cleaning service 🧺🧹

A CLEAN
LOGO for a
talented mother.

As far as I can remember, my mother has been in the cleaning business ever since we made the move from Banning, California to Little Havana, Florida way back in like 2007. To say we had maybe $200 collectively is probably being generous but we made it work somehow. Now around the time my step-dad got a job in Boynton Beach as a construction worker and my mom got pregnant with my little brother, Jeffrey and even though we had to stay with a relative for maybe like a year before we can rent out an apartment, we were still able to make the most of what we had. Fast forward maybe two years later, we moved to Boca Raton where my mom decided to start her own cleaning gig to help out the family and somehow put me through college, and awesomely enough my mom killed it.

Albeit, a few bumps in the road but of course that just comes with the job. Anyways long story short, no matter how tough it got she always seemed to make the impossible happen. Hell… she’s the reason I’m here even typing this out right now at two in the morning the day before this portfolio launches. But it’s because of that motivation and relentlessness of never giving up I’m even able to work in this space in the first place. Which I then figured, whats a cleaning service without a proper brand identity? And even though this is where I normally highlight the brand I created for her. I’ll let her check it out for herself when she sees the launch of the website since she has no idea I made this for her. So mom… if you’re reading this I love you and I hope you love your new logo and brand identity 💕
